One thing that upsets me about TV manufacturers is how nearly every TV comes out of the box setup for a store’s display. The biggest problem with that is the contrast is usually turned all the way up to 11. This creates a lot of noise in the picture with almost no gain to the color brightness.
To correct your TV’s contrast follow these steps:
1) Go into your TV’s menu
2) Select Picture (or similar option)
3) Scroll down to “Contrast”, which is usually turned all the way up
4) Turn it down until you see the picture dim slightly. This is usually around 85 on a 0-100 scale
These steps will work on most TVs on the market today but you may notice that the labeling of the menus is slightly different
Have a great week!
